David Cocke practices in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and health care law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and Memphis Bar Association. He belongs to the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Section of the Memphis Bar Association. He was chairman of the Shelby County Democratic Party from 1987 to 1989 and from 1999 to 2001. He was law clerk to the Hon. Robert M. McRae, Jr., U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Tennessee, from 1973 to 1974.
