Paul Edwards concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, corporate law and business transactions, probate matters and estate planning. Mr. Edwards represents commercial real estate developers in the development of office buildings, hotels and shopping centers, and both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of leases. He has been involved in environmental law issues, the formation of new businesses, the purchase and sale of ongoing businesses and several bank mergers and purchases. He has represented banks in regulatory and administrative matters, as well. His practice has included the representation of both borrowers and lenders in commercial and residential real estate loans and loan workouts.
Mr. Edwards also is heavily involved in estate planning, probate and PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) programs.
Mr. Edwards is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Mississippi, is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and is a member of the ABA Committee on Commercial Leases.
