Brad Foster focuses his practice in the areas of health care, municipal and revenue bond financing, real estate finance, land use law and corporate finance. He has extensive experience in municipal law and served as staff attorney for the City of Memphis, specializing in governmental finance and housing development financing. Mr. Foster represents physician groups in corporate, regulatory and contractual work of physician practices. He regularly advises clients in their relationships with academic medical centers, public hospitals, private hospitals and managed care organizations. He provides ongoing legal counsel to physician groups in west and middle Tennessee and has spoken at national conferences of health care attorneys. He is Chancellor for The Diocese of West Tennessee for The Episcopal Church. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, Health Law Section and the Tennessee Bar Association, Health Law Section. He is also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
He has spoken on numerous panels and at seminars involved with health care revenue bond financing, general corporate finance, housing finance, zoning and land use law. He has substantial experience in complex litigation involving multi-district federal litigation concerning revenue bond and corporate finance. He is a life member and serves on the Life Member Committee for the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference and served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert M. McRae, Jr., United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Tennessee, 1972-1973.
Mr. Foster has served as adjunct professor of business law at Rhodes College, Senior Warden of Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Chairman of the Board of Trezevant Manor Episcopal Home, Chairman of the Board of the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, Chairman of Rhodes College National Alumni Council and as president of the Audubon Park Community Association. He is an Eagle Scout and has served as Scoutmaster of Troop 55, Boy Scouts of America.
He is chair of the firm's Health Care Practice Group.
